The Chris Reimer Legacy Fund Society is a collective of Chris’ closest friends and family who have banded together to keep his tremendous spirit alive.

Chris was unfailingly generous, loving, loyal, humble and kind. It is our hope that his art and his generosity may live on through our work.

What we do

Our group was loosely formed immediately after Chris' passing in February 2012, and became an official charitable society in Alberta in July, 2012. We fund dance bursaries, a music award, the production of Chris' music, and various other projects.

Legal

The society charitable license number is #334883. We have raised nearly $15,000 from fundraising campaigns and events in our first almost six years of operations. $12,000 makes up the principle of our fund. We will undertake yearly fundraising activities, and will spend approximately $200-500 yearly on operational and promotional costs. The remaining monies raised will be earmarked for the yearly arts bursary and award, and the production of Chris’ music.

All members of the society are volunteers.
